My lavender bed quilt is done.
There's not really much to say about it; it's just a bed quilt. Just a humble bed quilt made from my lavender, seafoam green, aqua, and purple stash pile.
The soft kind of bed quilt that I like so much.
Scrappy and full of memories...
Yep, just a humble bed quilt.
My favorite kind of quilt.
We slept under it last night and we both slept well. I think that's a good sign.
Very simple. Just assemble like you would a nine patch.
with blocks that Angela and I worked on together...
and my friend Cindy (Angela's mom) sent over some pretty scraps for...
Yep, just a humble bed quilt.

Here's the pattern if you want to make one yourself:

What a wonderful quilt! I love the colors!
I love the colors and this looks SO soft. What kind of batting did you use in it???
It shouldn't be humble. It should be very proud!!!
Humble Bed quilts are the very best quilts! Beth
I don't think I'd call that JUST a bed quilt. It's so pretty and soft and the colours are absolutely heavenly. Absolutely gorgeous!!
Thank you for sharing the pattern.
Simply beautiful

It's a beautiful quilt! So nice to "see" you again. I'm no longer at Quiltmaker, but have moved to Utah to become Director of Marketing at Handi Quilter.

Well, dagnabbit, you've gone and made another stunner that I'm coveting. And you went and gave us the pattern, too! So, of course I have to add this one to my bucket list. I now must live to the age of 134 to complete them all.
It's simply gorgeous.
Love the colours, very soft and romantic. Inspires me to make a new quilt for our bed which could lead to a whole bedroom makeover actually. You did a beautiful job on the quilting too and I think your double wedding ring cushions are cute too.
Lisa, Lisa, Lisa, lovely, lovely, lovely (too Judy, Judy Judy?)
Well that simple bed quilt is simply lovely!!! My daughter would love all of the purple. It really turned out great. Congratulations!
That's beautiful. Humble, scrappy quilts are my favorite, too.
I love it...and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors!
Oh, my! That's so darned pretty! I hear a beach calling me! Well, it can just keep calling cause we don't have any beaches here in southwestern Missouri, that's for sure!
Good job, Lisa...love, love, love it!

Hi, just dropped by to say hello, when I saw 'Just a Bed Quilt' was something that I have done for a friend. Mine was a darker version of lilac and purple. Yours look great!
That's really pretty, and your embroidered pillowcases match it perfectly. Great job!
What lovely colors!!
It's beautiful of course, but. . . what happened to the yellow one? Is there a place for retired quilts?
It's a beautiful quilt. Isn't it nice to use up your stash...
OOuuu....just in time for spring!!
It's georgous. Looks so soft and cudly.

It's fabulous. I love it. Love the colors and pattern. A great sleeping quilt.
I love the painterly, watercolor feel of this, not to mention the colors themselves. Just beautiful.
Very pretty, comfy quilt Lisa. Happy color too.
It may be "just" a bed quilt but it's also "just" gorgeous! :-)
That is such a lovely quilt! The colours and blocks look so right for each other.
Thank you for the pattern but now I have a bad case of startitis and not enough lavender in my stash...

I absolutely love this quilt! Your colors are fabulous. I think the simple patterns are always nice because they really bring out the beauty of the fabrics.
Cheers,
Dionne
PS - Your photos are so lovely as well.
Wow it looks great! It was tons of fun helping you put together blocks. Plus it does go with the wall color :)
Thanks for sharing the "pattern". I love the colors in this quilt! What a beauty! So soft & cozy looking - just right for a Spring nap!
Beautiful colors, thanks for sharing!
So very lovely! The colors are perfect---my mom loves purple, she'd go gaga over something like this! Thanks for sharing the pattern, I may just have to give it a try!
That's a very pretty quilt Lisa - and definately not humble ( in my opinion!)
I am feeling the need for some simple piecing - I might just give it a go
Thanks
Lisa,
Thank you so much for providing the pattern and the idea for a quilt for my almost 3 year old granddaughter who is soon to be a big sister. I've had a Baby Faces embroidery designs CD and fabrics that I just never used. Now I've embroidered the faces on several 4 1/2" squares for the centers of blocks that I plan to just scatter on the top. And I can use all that stash fabric to make the blocks. (That's taking some time as I seem to think faster than I can sew)
It's beautiful. I love scrappy quilts.
Thanks for the pattern!
so beautiful!!! Need I say more?
Lovely. Indeed!!!
i love this quilt ... is it hard to quilt ? you can teach me in your free time :)
The quilt is done and my granddaughter loves it. I'd never have made it if I hadn't seen yours. That was a lot of tiny seams to press open. Since I kept changing where I was going to place the blocks, pressing open was my only option. (She helped me decide) Thank you.
Oh! girl, that a lovely quilt!!!!simple but wonderful!!!! thank you for the inspiration.
What a lovely quilt, girl!! Not so simple, but wonderful! thank you for the inspiration.
When I saw the pictures of Angela putting the pieces together I had to search for this quilt! I LOVE IT! Simply beautiful!! Thumbs up!!
